FOOD INSECURITY

Problem: Nearly 14% of Connecticut residents experience food insecurity, while local cafés, bakeries, and restaurants discard perfectly good breads, pastries, and perishable foods every day.

Solution: Acts of Kindness CT bridges this gap by partnering with local bakeries and Hartford HealthCare’s Community Health Team to redirect unsold meals to Connecticut’s unhoused and food-insecure populations—delivering nourishment, dignity, and comfort where it’s needed most.

SUPPORTING THE FRONT LINE

Problem:  Connecticut’s emergency providers serve on the front lines 24/7, caring for the sick, injured, and most vulnerable—often at great personal risk.

Solution:   Acts of Kindness CT honors their commitment by fostering a culture of gratitude and empathy through weekly deliveries of baked goods and confections, offering moments of comfort to those who give so much.

SUPPORTING THE FRONT LINE

Problem: Only a small portion of our population actively volunteers or engages in giving back, leaving many community needs unmet and limiting opportunities for connection.

Solution: Through intentional action, shared storytelling, and meaningful partnerships, we invite everyone to participate in building a more compassionate, inclusive, and hopeful community—starting with a single act of kindness and sharing its impact with us.
