About Us
Acts of Kindness CT is a student-led initiative supported by a dedicated group of high school volunteers committed to reducing food waste while inspiring acts of kindness throughout the community. Together, we partner with national and regional food businesses to recover surplus baked goods and deliver them to hospitals and homeless shelters across Connecticut. Through these donations, we aim not only to provide meals, but also to encourage businesses and individuals to see how small, thoughtful actions can create meaningful community impact.
Since its founding, Acts of Kindness CT has provided over 12,000 meals to community partners, including Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Children’s Hospital, and local shelters. Over time, our team has expanded the organization’s reach by strengthening partnerships and welcoming new collaborators, allowing our impact to grow in both scale and consistency. What began as a small effort has evolved into a reliable operation driven by teamwork, accountability, and a shared belief that generosity—when put into action—can make a lasting difference.
